Domestic flight deals-The Right Strategy To Sell More Air Tickets

 


Air tickets are sold online and offline.  The online platform permits total ease of making reservations. However, understanding the consumer behaviour online is critical to the art of selling and making good profit. Once this understanding is developed to a good depth, you shall master the art of offering the right deals which the people are looking. Analysis- page by page, screen by screen, scroll by scroll- has to be done in order to define what domestic flight deals are to be offered, on which page and on which level of scroll. The idea is always to be able to sell more, to increase the revenues and profitability. 

At the level of business strategy, it needs to be well considered whether the most selling destination flight tickets are to be sold to a larger audience, or the less or not selling ones need to be picked up. While the former will entail sure-shot selling, without any experimentation, working on the latter would mean offering something new to the users and exploring the latent potential of the destination. How this is done precisely is a matter of tactical detail. If the aim of the business is to acquire more and more customers, then the former way of selling what is being sold the most shall be invested more. However, if there is a need to tap into niche segments which can earn more revenues, then the latter strategy would work best. Both of these can together go hand in hand as well.

Discounts, Freebies and Packages

What are the different ways in which you would like to offer the deals to the customers for domestic air travel? There are three ways of offering these deals. At first, there are discounts which are either offered as percentage or in flat sums. These are offered either on the total ticket amount or the base fare.

Second way the deals are offered are by way of providing some freebies. The agencies might offer certain chargeable items as free, if booking is done with them. These freebies could be by way of free check in baggage, web check in services, no cancellation fee and many others.

Third way is by way of offering a slew of services together and offering these as  package without revealing what is being deducted from the price of each of these service. So, it is quite common to find deals of flights and hotels combo, or flights, hotels and holidays together being offered as a package.
