Play-The New Iceland Budget Carrier Flying to USA With Promise of Cheap Air Tickets

USA is the birth place of low cost airlines. The LCC model of aviation, which aimed to make aviation accessible to a large cross section of the people, took roots in US with the launch of Southwest Airlines. Even within US, a number of budget carriers have gained ground. Some of the notable ones are Frontier and Spirit. Success of low cost carriers model paved the way for many such airline companies taking roots in different countries across the world and a recent addition to this list is the name of ‘Play’. You got it right- Play is the name of the new budget carrier. It is an airline in Iceland.

Play, like any other low cost airline, aims to provide cheap flight tickets to the passengers. It currently operates from three cities in US-Baltimore/Washington, DC (BWI), Boston (BOS), and New York Stewart airport. The airline will be operating domestic and international routes, including 22 European destinations on which it is offering discounts of up to 25% on fares.

While the airline is providing cheap fares, it is important to know what all things are inclusive in these discounted fares? Generally, dirty cheap fares of ticket do not give anything more than just a seat. You have to buy almost everything which you might need in a cross-Atlantic flight, such as meals, carry-on bag, check-in bag and other articles. All of these things must be taken into account while booking the flight as that will be the true cost you will be incurring.

There is no denying the fact that the airline has taken a major step by reducing the fares and trying to give new experience to the passengers.
