These are a way of offering discount to certain section of online visitors. There can be a wide variety of coupons for different types of online businesses. Travel coupons are meant to be used when travel is to be undertaken. These are offered by travel businesses and can comprise of flights coupons, hotel coupons, holidays coupons, car hiring coupons, rail coupons, cruise coupons and so on.

But, why do companies use coupons to offer discounts, when flat or percent discounts can be applied straight away? Well, the difference lies in how you want to acquire customers and from where?

Discounts are meant for the customers who are already visiting the website or mobile app of the company through Paid or Organic marketing channels. These are open for all website visitors to see and avail. Coupons are generally used in situations where you have to acquire the traffic from other resources and are meant for some specific purpose. However, in order to make use of any such deal, the person has to click the coupon from that website or platform and then follow the terms and conditions.
