You must have heard about the special fares and excess baggage allowances which the airline companies offer the students. Whenever a student has to travel from one destination to another for the purpose of their study, the airlines would like these passengers to fly with them. Worldwide, many airlines offer this opportunity for the students.

Some of these airlines provide special program designed only for the students of their respective country, while some others provide these benefits for the international students as well. You also have the extra baggage allowances being promised to them. Both of these are highly helpful for the students as the former works to bring down the cost of tickets somewhat whereas the latter helps in taking more baggage for their study.

 Another benefit which is commonly provided is that of the complimentary date change. However, generally, limit of one time change is applied. This helps students, many of whom might be taking flight for the first time in their lives, and might commit mistake in the itinerary or have to change it for some reason, can do so free of any charge for at least one time.

Terms and Conditions

These advantages do come with certain terms and conditions. The student do need to have valid student ID /offer letter/ appointment letter which would make them eligible for the tickets and associated privileges.

Second important aspect is students might be required to sign in to the airline program and then make the bookings on the airline web platform. It might be denied to those who book with the agencies.

Third important aspect is whether this is also offered on the codeshare flights or not. Most often this is not applicable to the codeshare flights.

You must check for the terms and conditions of the airline before booking flight on it.
